Father God,
Thank you so much for your love for us, and for the blessings you so richly bestow upon us. We thank you now for the gift and miracle of life, and for the upcoming and planned birth via C-Section to ________ {name(s) of parent(s)}. Bless this family, Lord, bringing each of them comfort, joy, and love as they grow closer as a family and closer in love with you. Help this family to worship and glorify you in all of their days as you watch over them and guide them with your mighty hand according to your perfect will.
As the parents, family, and friends prepare for and anticipate the birth and procedure, grant them your peace that passes understanding with the assurance of knowing that you are in control and are walking with and alongside them every step of the way. Be also with the doctors, nurses, and medical staff who are planning for and will be part of the process. Guide their hands and give them clear and focused minds as they work to help bring this new child into the world.
For the mother, ________, we pray that you give her strength to endure the remaining time of her pregnancy, and that you give her determination and focus as she prepares for the procedure and birth of this child. Be with her as she undergoes the C-Section, and be with her in the days and months thereafter, granting her a speedy and successful recovery, thus allowing her to get back to 100% and fully able to care for and interact with her family and new little baby.
For both parents, ________, we pray that after the birth you give patience, strength, and resolve to raise this child. Keep them strong in you and your Word, modeling themselves after you to be a model to their children in the same manner. Give them success in maintaining a close and intimate relationship with you, and thereby pass on your love and kindness to their entire family.
And for this child, we pray that you give a safe delivery into this world you have created, and that you give strength, health, and safety as they grow and learn each and every day. Keep them strong in your Word as they are nurtured and taught by their parents, modeling themself after you and your perfect example. Help them to grow in wisdom and favor with you, always keeping you as the center of their life.
